The Job is for an On-Call Support Person whom may work during office hours ( Work From the Company ) or if working Off-Hour Shifts, can work from home.
What you'll be Doing: We need someone who is analytical and can appreciate how a) Applications Uses Progress as a Database, work. ( Review the Application, the GUI, the way it interacts with the Database, Identify the problem ) b) Understand when a User calls with a Problem, we need to identify what is happening in the program that causes his errors. ( What does the database show? A knowledge of Databases and Tables in Progress is helpful here ) c) Can use Word to make Documentation for the Support Procedures. d) Is able to Work through Phone, Provided Laptop, and access Corporate Resources from Home or Otherwise, depending on the Shift you're in. e) Am familiar with UNIX AIX operating system and know their way around the OS.
