KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1) General Work Related Duties
Strategic Planning
In collaboration with other commercial teams, propose, develop and formulate country business strategy
Provide strategic planning for special projects, tasks with long term implications, new product / market development, etc.
Business Development
In alignment with country business strategy, contact relevant parties to explore new business development opportunities; identify and analyse potential candidates who can be licensees for the hybrid and trait business; design detailed operational model with each licensee; conduct contract and commercial negotiation.
Sales and Commercial Interface
Working closely on budgets / long range plans / pricing / operational plans keeping in mind short term and long term focus
Providing support to regional sales initiatives and product / brand plans
Supporting strategic commercial initiatives
Cross functional / Cross Regional Interface
Participating in cross functional / cross regional teams like Crop team etc
Liaise with the regional office on strategy / reporting etc.
2) People Development
Leading Marketing Team to achieve desired goals.
Help prioritize team’s tasks and also keep track of deliverables. Intervene whenever necessary so as to keep the team on track.
Motivating, training and counselling the team so that they can deliver at the optimum levels.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with various levels within and outside the organization
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record
Strong influential skills
Education: University degree. MBA is preferable.
Experience: Relevant experience. Experience in seed business will be an added advantage.
Language: Excellent oral/written English skill
