Job Title: Application / Technical Support Engineer
Job Summary:
Handles all customers' enquiries that will cover orders, deliveries, technical issues and complaints, etc. and to work with them to assess their product requirement and to recommend suitable product solutions either standard or customized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Communicates with customers by phone or email to provide product information, pricing, delivery information, take orders and provide technical support to customers, etc.
-Handle all technical issues and questions promptly and effectively that are raised by our partners or customers by providing trouble shooting procedures and solutions.
-Provide hands on onsite trouble shooting, repair and routine servicing of our products in the region whenever required together with our partners or customers.
-Provide suitable product solutions for customer’s product requirements
-Provide product and service training for our entire range of products to our partners in the region on a regular basis
-Enters incoming orders, tracks shipments against schedule and makes every effort to ensure the customer's expectations are being met.
-Manages all order related paperwork, i.e.: RGA's, credits, order changes, etc.
-Must handle all customer calls in a pleasant as well as professional manner.
-Other duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
-Required Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electronics
-Willing to travel and stay in the United States of America for 3 to 6 months at the beginning for on the job training before returning to Singapore.
-Regional travel can be expected when necessary to provide technical solutions onsite when issues can not be rectified via other means.
-Preferably 2 to 3 years experience in a similar position
-Fluent in English and Chinese both written and spoken
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills
-Must have strong leadership and communication skills
