Skill and Responsibilities:
The role of the Applications department is to define and harmonies all functional requirements across institutions. The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst is responsible for technology tracking, coming up with technology strategy, architecture and standards, and recommending solutions for all the applications in the Group.
The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst has to ensure that quality and standards are met and to play a consultant role in providing advice to users.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will be involved in the following:
Perform execution level functions such as
- Studying user requirements and preparing specifications
- Drafting test cases and performing detailed tests on systems
- Providing 2nd or 3rd support in problem solving
- Providing applications maintenance and support
- Carrying out software development where required
- Provide advice to users on the usage of healthcare domain, application systems and packages, products, data, etc
and recommending solutions
- Assist in evaluation of vendors and their solutions
- Work with other ITD teams in activities where Applications expertise is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- PR/ Citizen
- Degree or Diploma preferably in Computing Engineering with 3 - 7 years experience and with at least 3 years’
experience in programming, design and system analysis.
- Having the following would be advantageous:
- Good technical knowledge and experience Java technology such as JSP/Servlet, EJB, JMS, etc, Microsoft technology such as Visual Basic, ASP, .Net technologies or SAP applications.
- Familiarity with messaging integration between applications with knowledge on certain EAI platform such as Cloverleaf, Neon Integrator, Biztalk, WebMethod, etc and HL7 knowledge
- Have experienced at least 3 Software Development Life Cycles or have managed implementation, deployment and conduct change management of projects (at least two >$200,000).
