Below is the job description for Product Test Engineer:

Product Test Engineer
Be part of the Quality Assurance team to work closely with the Product Development teams. Your primary roles and responsibilities include the following:
Able to read and understand the Product requirements from Standards such as OMG specifications.
Able to independently design, develop and code test programs in both C++ and Java, that are adaptable to changes and are re-usable.
Develop and execute automated test cases and regressions including white box, API & stress testing in Java and C++.
Design and execute (CORBA, J2EE/EJB) server performance, load, stress and reliability tests.
Identify and Track Defects
Review of Product’s Documentations

Pre-requisites:
Master or Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or Computer Engineering.
4 or more years of strong Java/C++ programming experience in Windows, Unix and Linux development environment.
Experience in application level debugging using IDEs such as MSVC and/or JBuilder is a must.
Candidates currently in application development and willing to take up challenging test development roles in QA in the domain of CORBA and .Net will have an added advantage. Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills are also welcome to apply.
Familiar with Software Development Cycle.

Knowledge of the following will be added advantages:
Quality assurance methodologies, white/black box testing, system/integration testing experience.
CORBA middleware products eg. Borland VisiBroker, development/testing experience.
Profiling tools such as Purify, JProbe, OptimizeIt
Experience with Automation and VMWare, and building of performance benchmarks.
Testing framework such as SilkPerformer, SilkTest & JUnit.
