Research Positions in Bioengineering, NUS Positions: 1) Postdoctoral Research Fellow 2) Research Engineer in the Supramolecular Biomaterials Lab, Division of Bioengineering, National University of Singapore. Job Description: We are looking for candidates with a strong background in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science, pharmaceutical science, biomaterials, or biomedical engineering to work on an interdisciplinary A*STAR project to develop new functional materials based on natural biopolymers, for biomedical, pharmaceutical, and consumer care applications. The candidates’ role in this multidisciplinary project will involve, in part or in whole, the synthesis and characterization of the copolymers, and their functional studies for bio-related applications. We look for applicants who show initiative, and are highly motivated and dynamic. The successful applicant will work in a research group comprising PhD students and researchers who are actively engaged in research on polymers and biomaterials for biomedical applications. Qualification: Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or to receive Ph.D. within 3 months) (for Position 1) or a Master’s degree (for Position 2) in a related field from a well-established university. Other requirements include laboratory experience in synthesis and characterization of polymer materials, or experience with biomaterials for drug delivery, gene delivery, or tissue engineering applications.
