Client application development on iOS, Android or Windows Phone platforms

Responsibilities:
* To gather requirements from internal customers, analyze these requirements and sign-off with internal customers
* To design, develop and document new application software and systems related to the client-server applications
* To further enhance existing applications such as adding new features, and to continue improve the reliability and performance
* To provide necessary software management in the implementation of the systems
* To liaise with customers, suppliers and internal resources on project implementation issues
* Support project activities including process development, training, change management, testing support, bug fixes, deployment support and environmental setup support

Requirements:
* Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline
* At least one year experience on client application development on iOS, Android or Windows Phone platforms
* Knowledge of Client application development on other mobile platforms such as Symbian, RIM Blackberry would be advantageous
* 1 to 3 years’ experience in the following will be preferred:
- Backend server development which communicates with the smartphone client applications
- Strong Java/J2EE skills
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, LDAP, JDBC
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle Database Store Procedures
* Experience in the following will be advantageous:
- Mobile Web portal development
- HTML5
- Windows 8 application development
- Knowledge and has developed on more than 1 smartphone platform
- Version control (preferably SVN)
- UML
- Creation of design prototypes, including graphic design and layout of content for mobile portal applications
* Good communication skills, both written and oral in English is required
* Good problem solving skills to assess design alternatives and perform tradeoffs that best meet customer needs
* Has the ability to quickly pick up new smartphone platform development and perform various proof of concepts (POCs) when required
* Has the ability and experience to work independently and also as part of a team
