SingTel group is the world's 2nd largest Telecommunication provider with 460 million customers globally. Group Digital Life focuses on creating new growth engines by delighting customers with innovative digital services beyond traditional Telco offerings, competing in new markets and adjacent industries such as media, entertainment, retail and banking.

The role:

We are looking for exceptional people to join the newly formed R&D team within Living Analytics, to create new insights in the big data environment, combining Telco, Digital, Social, Location, Consumer Interaction and Mobile Senses data across multiple devices to enable business innovation. If you enjoy a challenge and have a desire to work at the forefront of analytics within a dynamic and fast growing team, this is the position for you.

To this end, some of the key responsibilities include:

Developing "big data" framework, combine Telco, digital, social and research data to create 360-degree view
Improving the data source, quality and relevance within big data framework, e.g. new social source, weblog, location points, etc.
Performing analysis and modeling using this data and drawing out useful insights, predictive success and actionable interpretations
Identifying opportunities for leveraging blue sky analytics and data mining to address key business issues
Driving the change management process to ensure that new blue sky analytical developments are understood and adopted by the relevant marketing teams
The Expertise/Skills Desired
Advanced usage of SAS, SPSS, R or other analytical tools
Skilled in structured database (e.g. Oracle, MySql) and knowledge of unstructured database (e.g. Hadoop, GraphDB)
Knowledgeable of open source visualization tools, Java, social data extraction would be a plus
Proven track record of solving challenging problems by applying advanced analytics
Expert of analytical thinking and able to provide thought leadership
Experience with large data sets and knowledge of both structured and unstructured data
Ability to communicate analytical findings to senior management
Passion for data and innovation
Requirements:
M.S. in related field with at least 5 years of experience in consumer analytics domain
Ph.D. in Data Mining, Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research or related field would be an advantage
Prepared to relocate to Singapore on local terms and benefits
