A career at Catena will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to work with a variety of financial markets participants, ranging from investment banks, corporate and retail banks, private banks, exchanges, and various buy-side firms, including asset managers, brokers, and fund managers.
The successful candidate will also be able to develop skills within two different domains of solution delivery at Catena. The first domain is the consulting services domain, wherein many projects are "greenfield" engagements wherein the solution is highly-tailored to a particular client problem, and the consultant works within a very consultative framework to interview clients and analyze their problems, and ultimately to architect, design, and deliver new innovative solutions to those problems from the ground up.
The second domain is the software product domain, wherein Catena designs and develops innovative product offerings to address a common shared problem across the entire financial services industry. Within this domain, the consultant will analyze market trends, develop product roadmaps, prioritize product features, and ultimately architect, design, deliver, and support standard product offerings to a broad spectrum of clients.

Job Description
================
- Develop financial market solutions in the areas of business process management, enterprise application integration, trading and risk management, and data analytics
- Perform software installation and configuration, client training and support and system troubleshooting
- Help translate business requirements into technical architectures and designs
- Help define and document functional and technical requirements

Qualifications
================
- Strong academic credentials and solid technical knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; a masters or PhD degree is preferable
- Technology consulting experience within the financial services industry is a plus

Technical Skills
================
- Development experience using Java or C# or C++, XML, HTML, XSLT, JavaScript and SQL
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
- Experience with JMS, SOA, SOAP, TIBCO, Spring, R and SAS is preferable
