NTU world top 10 专业导师招收两名博士,有意者请直接发送个人简历给Dr. Chor Yong Tay. Dr Chor is very nice and friendly. 详情和导师简历如下。(请直接发送邮件联系导师本人)
The “Biomaterials for nanomedicine and regenerative medicine lab” at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is currently offering fully sponsored scholarships for 2 PhD students (January 2016 intake) with interests in the follow research areas:
3D Bioprinting of hydrogel based constructs for screening application
The overarching goal of this project is therefore to develop efficient technological approaches to fabricate three-dimensional (3D) tissue mimicking constructs using the 3D bioprinting method. Successful completion of this research is expected to lay the foundation for future development of advanced multi-cellular biomimetic “micro-tissues on chips” systems for screening applications as well as to study, prevent, diagnose and treat disorders.
Engineering stem cells secretome for regenerative medicine
The stem cell secretome is known to play an important role in the maintenance and repair of tissues. Yet, compared to the number of biomaterials-based research on stem cell differentiation, studies examining the effects of biomaterials factors on stem cells secretome is severely lacking. The aim of this project is to explore biomaterials based strategies to control secreted proteins (secretome) derived from adult stem cells for the purpose to restore and repair damaged tissues.
