Skills essential Required:
1. 5+ years of any relational database administration (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Postgresql, etc)
2. 2+ years of Python/Perl/Unix Shell scripting experience.
3. 1+ years specific to postgres administration.
4. Installation/upgrades/patches for databases.
5. Performance tuning and database optimization experience.
6. Automation of backups and restores.
7. Linux debugging skills.
8. Have configured/setup/supported database failovers, standby and disaster recovery.
9. Supported databases in a multi datacenter setups.
Skills add-on but not necessary required:
1. Experience or Knowledge in one or more of big-data technologies: Hadoop, MongoDB, AWS, Azure, etc.
2. Advanced SQL query, PL/SQL, and data migration skills (move data from one Database to another).
