Research Assistant (Software Designer
and Engineer for Cyber Security)

“NUS-Singtel Cyber Security R&D Lab” is a 5 years joint project with about S$43 million (estimated 31+ million US dollar) fund, among Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel), 　National University of Singapore (NUS), and National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore. The R&D Lab will conduct research in broad areas of cyber security having strategic relevance to Singtel’s business.

The new hire will work in a team with research fellows to implement prototype of secure applications and services for mobile (iOS and/or Android) and PC platforms (Windows and Linux). 　Candidates with the following skills or features have priority:
Good programming skills (in C/C++ or Java or others relevant languages) and software development experience.
Network programming (e.g. sockets).
With the help of research fellows, capable to understand security and cryptography algorithms to some extent, in order to implement the algorithms.
Good team player and good communication skills.
Encouraged to be involved in system and algorithm design together with research fellows, if capable. 　Opportunity of co-authoring research papers with research fellows is provided.
Previous experience in mobile development or Intel SGX is a plus.
Plan to develop a career in cyber security and eager to learn new relevant skills/knowledge in this domain.
Background knowledge in cyber security or cryptography is NOT a must.
