Research associate / Fellow in plant biology or analytical chemistry, biochemist
Work scope:
1. Use high performance liquid chromatography / UV-VIS-NIR spectrometer to quantitatively analyze the biochemicals (such as chlorophyll a &b and carotene) in plant
2. Collect the reflection and transmission spectra of plants via optical spectrometers
3. Modeling and simulation using MATLAB can be involved to build the relationship between the biochemicals and the optical spectra
4. Project progress management and technical proposal preparations, etc.
Requirement:
A PhD or Master's Degree in plant biology or analytical chemistry, biochemistry
With advanced skill and experiences in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and UV-VIS-NIR spectrometer
The candidate with the experience in using MATLAB will be preferred.
A good team player in a project setting, also with ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment
Must demonstrate initiative and good interpersonal communication skills
The successful candidate will mainly work in the school of Materials Science & engineering @ Nanyang Technological Unviersity, Singapore.
