Job Scope：
Responsible for product and business management for the Logix business, including controllers, IO and communications modules. Responsibilities include managing profit and loss, developing strategies to optimize the performance of existing and new products, leading engineering development efforts, developing human resources and managing financial plans and objectives. Provides specific personnel administration including professional staff supervision and resource allocation, performance feedback, staff coaching and skill development. Assists in the development of business strategies. Works closely with engineering, product and strategic marketing, sales, other Rockwell product groups, and third party partners. Responsible for marketing leadership for assigned product lines.
Essential Functions:

Functional Expertise
Responsible for definition and enhancement of the Logix product line strategy derived from market opportunities, customer input, competitive analysis and strategic direction.
Analyze global industrial control markets, identify trends and understand competitive offerings.
Coordinate plans with associated Rockwell Automation product lines. Responsible for product positioning.
Work closely with commercial marketing and stakeholder business units to define and implement marketing programs for assigned product lines.
Maintain competitive global pricing and product position.
Coordinate pricing issues between product lines.
Initiate, motivate and contribute to Project Teams through the product development process.
Develop marketing requirement documents to guide product development.
Prepare and present marketing requirements and business case to management to obtain required product line investments.
Maintain the urgency for market requirements on the project team through the duration of product development process.
Develop effective strategy for third-party development.
Leadership
Create and manage Logix Product Line Business Plan objectives with a 0-5+ year market focus for financially and/or strategically critical product line(s) consistent with the Strategic Plan of the business.
Coordinate inter-company departments to implement product objectives (service, support, order entry, etc.). Provide leadership to key partner relationships that support product lines.
Set direction for product line forecast, pricing and inventory control.
Develop and manage direct and indirect reports. Coach and encourage employees to engage in career development planning/training and development of marketing skills. Provide employees with continuous performance feedback.
Provide leadership in decision-making and problem-solving to ensure successful product line business performance.
Interpersonal
Define and communicate market and customer requirements through interaction with Project Teams, Business Teams, and other departments to maximize market success.

Education Requirements:
Requires Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent. Masters of Business Administration is desirable.
Experience Requirements:
Typically 12 plus years leadership experience.
Automation industry knowledge required, with control system and safety background desired.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and influencing capabilities, efficient in Microsoft Office products, and an ability to work with a geographically dispersed team to achieve position objectives.
Proven ability to work with internal and external organizations and deliver product to the market from an engineering and/or marketing perspective.
Ability to manage human resources and effectively plan manpower.
Previous product marketing management responsibility and demonstrated leadership capabilities preferred.
