POST DOCTORAL FELLOW POSITION

College Of Engineering, Qatar University, Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering –College of Engineering, Qatar University invites applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow research scholar position in Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering / Operations Research / Operations Management, or in a related field. Doctoral students close to completing their Ph.D. are also encouraged to apply.
The candidate should have demonstrated excellence and potential for academic research. The advertisement is targeted specially to candidates with an interest in the areas of design and coordination of supply chain networks, inventory control, production and transportation planning, vehicle routing, closed-loop and green logistics. A strong background in operations research and optimization is an asset. Fluency in English is essential. Candidates with some experience with Carbon supply chain is a definite plus.
This position is supported by a continuing grant from Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF). The position is on offer to start as soon as possible, for one year and may have possibility of further extension. The successful candidate will be in a full time job at Qatar University and will benefit from a competitive monthly salary (A Tax-Free Monthly payment of QR 16,000/approx. 4300 USD) as well as a housing allowance (QAR 7,000/approx. 1900 USD), transportation accommodations and Health insurance.
