The Professional Engineers Board Singapore
The Professional Engineers Board Singapore (PEB) is a statutory board in the Ministry of National Development. PEB was established since 1971 under the Professional Engineers Act.
Functions of PEB
The main functions of PEB, as prescribed in the Professional Engineers Act, are:
to keep and maintain a register of professional engineers, a register of practitioners and a register of licensed corporations;
to process applications for registration as professional engineers, including the conduct of examinations for the purpose of enabling persons to qualify for registration;
to license corporations and partnerships which supply professional engineering services in Singapore;
to establish and maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics of the engineering profession;
to hear and determine disputes relating to professional conduct or ethics of professional engineers; and
to promote learning and education in connection with engineering.
