Position #1 – Business Analyst /Senior Business Analyst (Front Office)

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of Treasury Reengineering, the incumbent will be a member of the Treasury Reengineering team responsible for the implementation of state-of-the-art treasury systems solutions to meet dynamic business growth within UOB Global Treasury. He/She will be involved in:

§ Analyzing front office user needs, in particularly trade capture, profitability analysis, risk analysis, pricing, hedging, structuring & reporting needs.

§ Analyzing risk management interface requirements

§ Preparing comprehensive functional and business process documentations

§ Assisting the project team leader in project coordination and planning

§ Participating in system testings, user acceptance testings, trouble shooting and quality control

§ Liaising with vendors, users and system analysts to implement solutions within schedule and budget



The products that the team is currently looking to launch include front office systems for interest rate options (ratchets, barriers, digitals, chooser and swaptions), exotic money market swaps (quanto, callable CMS/CMT and target redemption), credit derivatives (CDO, CDS, basket CDS), fixed income derivatives, debt instruments and equity derivatives.



Job Requirements:

§ Degree holder in finance/banking/mathematics or any quantitative background with 2-5 years in a support or middle office role in the treasury sector

§ Working knowledge of treasury products or structured products such as interest rate options, swaptions, exotic swaps, credit derivatives and fixed income instruments is essential

§ A strong technical skill in Microsoft Excel is necessary

§ Able to work independently and demonstrate good problem solving skills

§ Able to work under tight deadlines and time pressure

§ A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

§ Experience working with treasury systems or projects is an added advantage





Position #2 – Business Analyst /Senior Business Analyst (Accounting/Back Office)

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of Treasury Reengineering, the incumbent will be a member of the Treasury Reengineering team responsible for the implementation of state-of-the-art treasury systems solutions to meet dynamic business growth within UOB Global Treasury. He/She will be involved in:

§ Analyzing finance user needs, in particularly on the chart of accounts, posting rules, management & financial reporting needs

§ Analyzing back office user needs, in particularly on trade confirmation & processing workflow

§ Analyzing finance and back office interface requirements

§ Preparing comprehensive functional and business process documentations

§ Participating in system testings, user acceptance testings, trouble shooting and quality control

§ Liaising with vendors, users and system analysts to implement back office solutions within schedule and budget

§ Able to work independently and demonstrate good problem solving skills

§ Experience working with treasury systems or projects is an added advantage





Position #3 – Senior Treasury System Support Analyst/Team Leader

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of Treasury Reengineering, the incumbent will be a member of the Treasury System Support team responsible for supporting dealers working in a fast pace treasury environment. He/She will be required to:



§ Provide on-going queries and application support to treasury users locally and regionally in terms of P&L, positions, trades and accounting information

§ Provide recommendations for process automations or workflow reengineering

§ Participate or lead a team in upgrading existing treasury systems

§ Participate or lead a team in providing for new user requirements in existing systems

§ Document new and existing procedures

§ Implement control measures to detect potential system failures

§ Liaise with application systems’ service centers on system issues

§ Participate in Hubbing exercise to centralize operations of other regional treasury centers of the bank



Job Requirements:

§ Degree holder in accounting/finance/banking/business with 3-5 years in a support or middle office role in the treasury sector

§ Strong working knowledge of treasury products and processes

§ A strong technical skill in Microsoft Excel is necessary

§ Able to work independently and demonstrate good problem solving skills

§ Able to work under time pressure and in a fast pace environment

§ A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

§ Strong presentation, user management and meeting skills

§ Experience working with Wall Street System, Bloomberg, Business Objects or FENICS is an added advantage
