but how many books you require those respondents to buy? Personally I feel that the publisher may not get really good entrepreneurs if it operates that way.

but boss is the one to make decision, and they usually operates that way.
Whatsoever, their purpose is not to get "good" entrepreneurs, but to discover the stories of these people, no matter they are already very successful, or just started up.
Asking the entrepreneurs to buy books is only to cover part of the costs.
For the entrepreneurs, it means they will have many copies to give to their clients & friends, when the books spread out broadly through their social network, it can be a good advertisement.
