Position: China Technology Licensing Lead
Department:Biotechnology
Report to:China Country Lead
Location: Beijing

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.
2.Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China.
3.Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

1.MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable.
2.Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.
3.Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous.
4.Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.
5.Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.
6.Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
7.Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
8.Able to travel frequently within and outside of China.
