One vacancy for Research associate or Research fellow is available in Electro-optic materials research group in MSE, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

The candidate’s work scope will include synthesis of highly oriented electrooptic thin films like PMN-PT, KTN, and/or BTO based material systems by sol-gel, PLT, or Sputtering. The relationship between the structures, nano domain development and electrooptic properties of the materials will be studied by HRTEM, PFM, AFM, and XRD etc. These equipments are fully accessible in our school. Design/development of the prototypes of optical modulators/ variable-focal-length lens may be also involved.
Candidates are required to:
- holding MSc/Ph.d degrees in Materials science/technology, optics, physics or microelectronics
- Highly-motivated.
- Skills in basic thin-film material deposition/ characterization and experiences in optical, electroopitc materials / devices design/fabrication are preferred.
The salary given is commensurable to educational qualifications and working experience of the candidates. Benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, etc.
