Research Engineer in Biomaterials

Applicants are invited for a Research Engineer position in the Centre for Biomedical Materials Applications & Technology, to work on a funded research project, involving fabrication and characterization of nanoscale-based apatites, and the opportunity to assess the biological response of these nanoapatites in-vitro.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering, Materials Science (or a related discipline), preferably with a background experience/knowledge in biomaterials, materials characterization and/or cell culture. Ability to work independently, good team-working and communication skills are essential.
The appointment is available immediately for up to 18 months starting from 1 April 2009. The applicant should be able to commit for at least one year.
