Responsibilities:
In this role, you will
- Be responsible for providing technical pre and post sales support, training and consulting for MOLFLOW in Plastics Injection Mold & Part Design/ Mold Manufacturing/ Molding processes / Hot Runner Systems Design
- Provide and/or review product Industrial Design and Mechanical Design for customers
- Liaise with customers for DFM, mold concept review and other technical matters, be responsible for the mold designs and debugging; liaising with plant for fabrication and qualification of molds
- Generate of customer success case studies for Marketing
- Achieve continual improvement of Moldflow technical documentation and procedures
- Conduct new product testing and feedback to Development
- Be responsible for designated technical initiatives working within a quarterly or annual time frame.
Requirements:
- Polymer or Engineering related qualifications
- Preferably possess a Masters or PhD Mech Engineering and grounding in Mold Design
- At least three years industrial experience in designing complex and high precision molds.
- Knowledge of polymer materials and their behavior
- Knowledge of 3D CAD and FEA systems
- Understanding and ability to apply MOLDFLOW in solving industrial problems.
- Experience in Plastics Injection Mold & Part Design/ Mold Manufacturing/ Molding processes / Hot Runner Systems
- The ability to fault find and troubleshoot using self initiative
- A proven team player with excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Strong knowledge of product design, industrial design and mechanical design
- Meticulous in documentation and filing
