<Role>
Work as part of Thomson Reuters’s Global Real-time Tech Team to develop infrastructure of data collection system handling Asian Stock Markets. Final product is known as Reuters Electron, which is widely used in banking and investment industry.
<Responsibility>
- Re-engineer current system to allow for flexibility, stability, and scalability while preserving existing functionality
- Develop efficient and high quality code according to requirements
- Write good technical design documentation and technical approach
- Accountable for the quality of own work, delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes.
- Perform peer code reviews: verify extensibility, reusability, and assure complexity has been minimized
- Assist leads to prepare time estimates for projects and software design plans
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting and provide quick solution of production problems
<Qualification>
- Good PhD/Master/Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or other related fields
- Proficient in C/C++/Java
- Proficient in Unix shell script
- Knowledge of Pascal is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of finance is a plus
- Understanding of software development lift-cycle
- Good communication & documentation skill
