JD for Tech Lead
Designation: Senior Consultant
Reporting to: Development Manager
We seek an experienced and passionate individual to fill the role of Tech Lead, to be part of the service delivery team. An experienced IT professional with substantial experience gained in a application development life cycle environment, managing the development and deployment of enterprise-wide mission critical application systems utilizing object oriented technologies.
You should have gained practical implementation experience in enterprise-wide mission critical application systems utliizing object oriented technologies, and primarily in a Oracle and/or Java envrionment, with good working knowledge of .NET framework an added advantage. You should be familiar with and have worked in Unix and Windows/Linux environment, particularly in IBM or Oracle networked or clustered platforms, and have experienced in installation, configuration and trouble-shooting in these environments.
You must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a project implementation environment, with the last 2 years leading a technical team of 3 to 5 people.
The successful candidate should be primarily responsible for the technical asepect of project implementation, which includes supervising the technical team members assigned to him to ensure the technical outcome meets the agreed schedule, customer expectation and functional and technical specifications. You should spend approximately 70% of your time coaching, mentoring, supervising and tracking the progress of team members. Remaining 30% of the time should be expended into spearheading development – setting certain coding style or practice for the team members to follow.
Responsibilities
Plan out the assigned modules or deliverables and assign to team members based on their skill levels
Taking the lead from designer/architect, provide a practical development or implementation framework for the team members
Monitor and track task items and report progress to the development manager
Highlight issues, challenges and mitigation plan promptly
Analyze business, functional, technical requirements and design implementation solutions that meet functional and technical specifications and performance standards
Enforce technical standards, procedures and framework in software development life cycle
Enforce code review and adherence to coding standards
Supervise the resolution of code version or environment conflicts
Ensure codes are implemented that meet performance and load test criteria
Ensure codes are implemented that meet vulnerability assessment criteria
Work closely with Development Manager to address, resolve, all technical issues encountered during project implementation
Provide input and assist Development Manager in appraising technical team individual performance
Assist recruitment of technical team members through interviews
Estimate effort for scope of work and generate work breakdown structures

Qualification and Experience:
Recognized University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Information Systems
Minimum of 8 years ICT industry experience gained in implementing large scale software development life cycle projects
Candidates with technical certification of proficiency or its equivalence in Java or Oracle products will be favourably considered
Ability to speak Mandarin will be an advantage
You should have minimum of 2 years of practical hands-on experience in Oracle WebCenter Suite, Oracle ADF, or Oracle BPM/SOA,
You should have minimum of 5 years of practical hands-on experience in Java J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Weblogic, Oracle DB
Some practical experience in Websphere, HTML, .NET Framework, VB.Net will be added advantage
