HedgeSPA offers an industry vertical platform for investment managers to automate their process to "manufacture" investment products. We were mentioned by Forbes as a potential industry disruptor, and has been named a finalist in the “Best Enterprise Soltuion” category for a global financial technology award. We are looking for strong candidates who can work on solving investment problems for our top-tier financial institution users.
1) Developer/Programmer (Singapore)
The major task of a developer is to translate the customer requirements into production quality codes. The person needs to be highly proficient in web application development using Java EE and Spring Framework.
Requirements:
· Minimum diploma or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or programming intensive courses.
· Knowledge in Javascript, Java, C++ and/or MySQL.
· Knowledge in Java EE, web application and Spring Framework are highly desirable.
· Junior developers are expected to be knowledgeable in Java programming language, while senior developers should demonstrate working experience in developing web application.
· Knowledge in ExtJS is advantageous.
· Knowledge in UNIX administrative tasks is advantageous.
Roles:
· Maintain and improve existing web application.
· Develop new modules based on customer specifications.
· Design, refine and develop the front-end UIs on our web-based analytics platform.
· Ensure programming codes conform to internal quality standard.
· Work on a suite of sophisticated java web applications.
· Be highly motivated, proactive and able to deliver within limited supervision and direction.
2) New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer (San Francisco & Singapore)
Quantitative analysts commonly don’t involve other functional areas in the modeling process. As a result, designs may miss many real-world problems such as component obsolescence and technology that can’t scale. On the other hand, production personnel primarily focus on daily routine procedures. A new product introduction (NPI) engineer is someone who bridges the prototype to full-scale production.
Requirements:
· Minimum degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or other quantitative and programming intensive courses.
· Knowledge in Javascript, Java, C++ and MySQL.
· Knowledge in Java EE, web application and Spring Framework are highly desirable.
· Knowledge in maintaining UNIX server is advantageous.
· Knowledge in quantitative modeling is advantageous.
· Knowledge in production quality control is advantageous.
Roles:
· Understand customer requirements and translate into production quality codes.
· Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
· Design and develop procedures for new site installations.
· Develop procedures to monitor production servers.
· Design, refine, and develop QC procedures to ensure quality product before deploying any new release.
· Guide a team of production support personnel.
· Work on a suite of sophisticated java web applications.
· Be highly motivated, proactive and able to deliver within limited supervision and direction.
3) Production Engineer (San Francisco & Singapore)
The financial sector is highly competitive, and any production systems are expected to be running without failure around the clock. Production engineers are tasked to ensure our risk analytic platform are always running 24/7.
Requirements:
· Minimum diploma or higher degree in technical or computer-oriented courses.
· Knowledge in Javascript, Java, C++ and/or MySQL.
· Knowledge in Java EE, web application and Spring Framework are advantageous.
· Knowledge in ExtJS is advantageous.
· Knowledge in UNIX administrative tasks is advantageous.
Roles:
· Check and ensure all the production services are running daily.
· Maintain production systems by following the Standard Operating Procedure.
· Design, refine and develop QC procedures.
· Work on a suite of sophisticated java web applications.
· Be highly motivated, proactive and able to deliver within limited supervision and direction.
4) Application Engineer/Specialist (Singapore)
Application engineer/specialist is tasked to bridge the gap between a customer feedback and the technical development. Most customer feedback is business oriented, and needs to be translated into structured format before developers are able to act on them.
Requirements:
· Minimum diploma or higher degree in Computer, Engineering, or technical courses.
· Knowledge in financial products and risk analytics.
· Knowledge in Javascript, Java, C++ and/or MySQL.
· Knowledge in web application is advantageous.
Roles:
· Liaise with internal and external customers to understand the customer requirements.
· Log any customer feedback into Mantis system.
· Coordinate with developers to solve any issues faced by the customers.
· Work on a suite of sophisticated java web applications.
· Be highly motivated, proactive and able to deliver within limited supervision and direction.
5) Economic/Business Analyst Interns (San Francisco & Singapore)
In the Economic Analyst and Business Analyst internship program, you will spend approximately three months working with top experienced quantitative analysts and developers. You will have opportunities to provide economic analysis and advisory services to support the Company’s business.
As an Economic Analyst or Business Analyst Intern, your responsibilities may include but not limited to:
· To write, edit and publish reports on market developments and other issues relevant to the financial industry.
· To coordinate research output between different teams
· Effectively identify and analyze scenarios for clients to stress test their portfolios.
· Develop and maintain close co-operation with other risk and support functions.
· Assist senior management in preparing presentations and aligning them to corporate aesthetics.
· Prepare marketing and investor relations materials for internal and external use.
