Mission/primary purpose of the function
The project team based in Singapore will have to develop the new Communication base modules with Integrated IOs that are expected to be launched in 2018/2019. Under the responsibility of the Project Design Leader, the Firmware Designer has to perform specification and development (coding and/or testing) of part of embedded software.
Main tasks
Makes recommendations regarding design of the software and formalizes technical specifications.
Perform development (coding and/or testing) of part of embedded software solution whose specification and architecture are defined.
Interfaces (other functions/departments):
Interfacing with Project Design Leader (Platform and Software), Architect, Validation, Quality
Job Requirements
Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software
Engineer with at least 6 years experiences in developing design to cost Firmware
Knowledge and experience in RTOS (VxWorks, embOS..)
Confirmed experience in communication protocol implementation (Modbus, Ethernet, CAN..) would be a plus
Confirmed experience in PC based Software would be a plus
Knowledge of Machine Solutions products (Software & System, Controllers, IO, Fieldbus) would be a plus
Strong team player, ability to work in an international and multi-sites environment
Be rigorous (detailed specifications), openness
Be able to create a positive spirits in the team
English fluently in speaking, reading and writing
