Special Care Eye Contour Gel

Have you sometimes asked yourself when you should start with special care for your immediate eye area? The answer is simple: tomorrow at the latest. Why? The skin around the eyes is especially fragile and dry. It does not secrete sebum or perspire. The skin in this area has hardly any stabilising fatty tissue to provide cushioning. It is in constant movement, with changes in facial expression, exposure to environmental factors, weather, heating and light, and all these factors lead to the formation of lines and wrinkles. If you want to counter those effects, you should start to apply Special Care Eye Contour Gel twice daily.

Instructions: Apply immediately after cleansing and toning your skin.

1. Open the tub and take a small amount of gel from inside the lid using the tip of your ring finger. In this way, you will avoid trapping any gel under your fingernail.

2. Now spread the gel over the tips of both your ring fingers. The ring fingers exert the least pressure, and this is particularly important in the sensitive area around the eyes.

3. Start applying the gel at the outside of the eye, and "slide" gently along the bottom lid to the inside corner of the eye and up towards the brow. Then along underneath the eyebrow and back to the outside corner of the eye. Repeat several times for each eye.

4. Always be careful not to stress the fragile skin around the eyes unnecessarily.

Tip: If you want to give your eyes a small "fitness" session, you can apply the gel with a gentle dabbing motion

instead.

Tip: If you sometimes suffer from slight swelling around the eyes, you should start applying the gel at the inner corner of the eye, moving along the lower lid to the outer corner and then under the eyebrow back to the inner corner again. Again, a gentle dabbing motion can help to get rid of the congested fluids around your eyes.

Tip: Wear good sunglasses whenever the sun is shining. Not only will they protect your eyes from harmful UV light, but they will also protect that sensitive skin. Wearing glasses also prevents you from squinting unnecessarily, helping prevent wrinkles.

Tip: If you have slight swelling of the eyelids, the following measures can also help to reduce congestion:

1. Put a cool, damp tea-bag (sorry to all tea connoisseurs, but it must be a tea-bag!) on your closed lids for about 10 minutes.

2. Freeze a silver teaspoon in your freezer compartment, and then lay it gently over your closed lids several times. One more tip:

Do you want to enhance the staying power of your eye shadow? After gently applying the gel around your eye, you may be aware of a tiny amount of gel remaining on your fingertip; apply that remainder to the whole eyelid. Close your eyelids, start directly underneath the eyebrows and gently slide over the whole moveable part of the lids. Then wait a moment before opening your eyes.

Now you can start to apply your eye make-up. You will find that your eye shadow sticks better.
