Capitaland closed higher $0.05 at $7.55 on Tuesday. The group recently announced it will be purchasing 2 shopping malls in Malaysia - one in Penang and another in Kuala Lumpur. Capitaland has been actively diversifying its businesses into other countries including China and India over the past few years looking for opportunities. The share looks attractive trading at an 11% discount to its revalued NAV of $8.50
The technical outlook for Capitaland is positive. Its 10-day SMA has just cut above its 50-day SMA and the share is trading above its support level of $7.50. The share is now in a consolidating phase since recovering from its recent low of $6.05 reached in mid-Aug. It may attempt to test the $8.00 resistance level in the near future. Its 50-day SMA will provide support at $7.40.
