0504 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: DBS Vickers downgrades ECS Holdings (E18.SG) to Hold from Buy on limited upside to its target price of S$0.67 after VST Holdings (0856.HK) offers to buy 52.5% stake in IT products distributor for S$0.668/share; deal will trigger mandatory takeover offer for rest of ECS shares under Singapore takeover rules. Says investors should accept offer as bid attractive, valuing ECS at 1.3X P/B. Stock +1.6% at S$0.64 midday. STI down 2.9%. (FKH)
