My co-surpervisor had a baby, should I visit her place to celebrate?
I am a Phd Student,my co-surpervisor is a Singaporian and her husband is a Australian. But my co-surpervisor left our lab for good half year before and I still keep in touch with her. I heard She had a baby 2 mounth before.
Now I am not sure it is suitable or not if I go to her house to see her baby.
How about the custom in Singapore?
And what Kind of gift I need bring if I go to her place?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Normally the proud parents would throw a party called Baby's Shower within a month. If they do you can visit and bring a gift ($50 to $100). If there is no invite you can still send your gift and call to offer your best wishes.
